Portraits

I got a commission from friends to do portraits of their kids (my god-children) as a present for one of their grandparents. There's actually supposed to be three, but every attempt to draw Jack - the eldest one- ended up a bit....well, shit. After a few hissy fits and drawings being ripped up or scribbled over with a big black crayon I decided to give up and return to it in a few days. I've already informed Jack that his "stupid face" is causing me problems.

dis robe

dis robing

Here's the first five in a series of images I'm working on to put up for sale on my website . I'm calling them "dis robe" - I was thinking of calling them "strip cheese" but didn't think my friends who'd posed for them would appreciate that.

Doctor Who drawings

I'm using the computer to colour my latest comic-booky Doctor Who image for the episode "The Stolen Earth" - being able to change colours at the touch of a button has led to me changing my mind and changing the background colour every couple of minutes. It's like a Doctor Who disco.

pomegranates and passion fruit

This is a commission I had after doing a similar drawing for my friend's birthday present. It's a large scale (about A1) study of passion fruit and pomegranate done in pencil and pastel.

I kept taking photos on my mobile phone over the course of the week I was working on it. I've put them all together to make an animation, it's not great quality but it shows how the image grows across the surface.
